British Friendly has launched its income protection (IP) product with network Positive Solutions.

The move is part of a phased introduction of the BFS Protect policy and it is also available on The Exchange quote portal (now part of the Avelo brand).

Steve Wanstall, head of sales for British Friendly, said: "We're delighted to continue our phased distribution roll-out with the launch of this new partnership.

"The product is already available to over 1,200 advisers at Positive Solutions and we have received a number of new applications.

"We have over 100 years experience of protecting our members and supporting them to return to work and BFS Protect is available only through IFAs.

"All applications will be underwritten by tele-interview and intermediaries will be able to track the progress of their pipeline business online in real time," he added.
