COVER Survey: Advisers damning of protection insurer service levels

COVER surveyed the protection intermediary space on the ongoing issues surrounding service levels from insurance providers, finding specific ire towards underwriting decisions and processes, and poor communication channels.

One of the big themes of 2023 so far, beyond Consumer Duty and the cost of living, has been a growing frustration in the intermediary space over perceived worsening of service levels from protection and health insurance providers. While this discourse hasn't quite reached the levels of open criticism from advisers on media platforms and in industry events, that is perhaps only a matter of time.
