Ellipse has announced the latest group of charities to benefit from its ‘You quote, we donate' initiative.

‘You quote, we donate' allows advisers to make a £1 donation every time they receive an online quote from Ellipse to one of the three charities.

There are three charities set to benefit in the second quarter of 2014:

  • Autoimmune Alopecia Research UK, nominated by Melanie Doig from Independents Limited.
  • Seven Families, nominated by Mark Ansell from Lark Insurance
  • Bipolar UK, nominated by Angela Marvin of Chancery Financial Planning

The beneficiaries in the first quarter of 2014 were Cotswold Care Hospice, Huntingtons Disease Association and Depression Alliance.

James Thomas, fundraising manager at Depression Alliance said: "Depression is a serious and potentially tragic illness that kills at least 5,000 people every year and leaves thousands more feeling isolated and alone.

"Thanks to innovative fundraising like that shown by Ellipse, Depression Alliance are able to help more people recover. We are very grateful."

John Ritchie, CEO of Ellipse said: "I am delighted with the level of engagement we have seen from our supporting advisers.

"Advisers nominate these causes and their suggestions are always thoughtful. Our online quote numbers are increasing steadily so we look forward to donating to these causes."
