InterGlobal adds cancer benefits to UltraCare Elite plan

International private medical insurer InterGlobal is introducing an UltraCare Elite Plan for 2011 including enhanced benefits for cancer care.

The plan, top of the insurer's UltraCare range, will include payment for all cancer treatment up to the member's annual benefit limit of £2m, $3.4m or €3m.

The new plan also has increased limits for complementary medicine, new cover for annual dental checkups and the addition of cover for psychotherapy treatment.

InterGlobal has rewritten all documentation to plain English, making plans clearer to customers. This includes a clear description of the cancer care benefits available to members of all of InterGlobal's plans.

Paul Weigall, Head of Sales and Marketing, InterGlobal said: "Many international private medical plans impose lifetime benefit limits for the treatment of chronic or terminal cancer conditions.

"These limits can sometimes be reached in the treatment of chronic cancer conditions, leaving members exposed to medical bills when they could least cope with them. The Elite plan now strips away all terminal and chronic benefit lifetime limits and provides cover for treatment in full up to the annual benefit limit."

The UltraCare range offers five plans from the entry-level Standard plan, through to the Elite plan which offers a full refund and high benefit limits for all in-and out-patient medical treatment
