DoH website goes live for public comment on Care and Support Bill

clock

The draft Care and Support Bill has been opened up on the Department of Health website today for public comment.

The Department of Health is seeking views through a new website where the Bill can be explored and commented on.

Comments can be made on each part or clause and questions can be answered by topic.

According to the Department of Health, comments made will be used directly to challenge the government in considering improvements to the Bill proposals.

The Bill proposes a single, modern law for adult care and support that replaces existing complex legislation.

It aims to focus on prevention and the needs and goals of people requiring care.

It includes a number of health measures, including the law needed to establish Health Education England and the Health Research Authority.

Comments can be posted until 19 October this year. The site can be found here.
