WPA outsources Worldwide Assistance to CEGA Group

Private health insurer WPA's Worldwide Assistance service, which provides global medical assistance, is now to be operated by third party supplier, CEGA Group Services.

CEGA specializes in claims handling, travel risk management, medical assistance, cost containment and air ambulance services, all managed from one location.

It is the only travel assistance service provider to operate its own air ambulance fleet, and also has in-house teams of medical and insurance specialists.

Adrian Humphreys, managing director of WPA Corporate Group, said: "There are no changes to the features and benefits of WPA Worldwide Assistance and we will continue to offer our customers the same excellent service."

Rob Upton, Director of Sales & Marketing at CEGA Group Services, added: "Both organisations share a similar culture and approach to service quality and both teams are looking forward to working together."
