Claims and Underwriting Innovation Forum 2021

COVER Claims and Underwriting Innovation Forum will investigate the most innovative claims and underwriting practices driving the protection and health insurance market forward. It bears repeating; at the heart of every policy is a human being. As technologies advance and digital capabilities expand, it is crucial that the needs of the customer do not get lost along the way. A personal touch must remain at the centre of every interaction an individual has with an insurance company, either directly or through an intermediary. Hence, this journey is about evolution not revolution.28th April, Digital Conference

Aggregator Direct Life has partnered with British Friendly to launch a new income protection (IP) policy, BFS Protect, on its LifeQuote service.

The IP product was previously only available using Avelo Exchange software.

Mark Myers, chief executive at British Friendly said: "This is the next step of our strategic plan to reach a wider number of advisers, while maintaining our commitment to service. LifeQuote is an excellent system and we look forward to working with a number of new advisers."

BFS Protect an income protection policy with flexible features, such as a variety of deferred period options and a choice of long term or short term benefit with reduced premiums, designed to pay a regular benefit in the event of sickness or injury leading to loss of earnings.

Roy McLoughlin of Master Adviser said "Good quality protection research is more important than ever and it is vital that adviser tools are as comprehensive as possible.

"LifeQuote currently provides the only true multi-quote system for protection and it is imperative that income protection specialists are represented. BFS are at the forefront of IP providers so all LifeQuote users will see this as a welcome addition."
