Enguage mutual launches new cash plan

A streamlined health cash plan providing cash back on the most frequently claimed health costs, has been launched by Engage Mutual.

Initially distributed to consumers direct via engagemutual.com. the plan focuses on the most claimed for benefits - dental, optical and complementary therapy costs - giving 100% cash back up to each benefit level.

Helen Graham, head of health cash plans at Engage Mutual, said: "Sixty five per cent of claims made on health cash plans are for eyes, teeth and muscular issues1. Rather than provide cover for a long list of conditions that are only occasionally useful to plan holders, we have focused on providing good levels of benefits on the conditions that most people frequently claim for."

From £10 per month, the ‘everyday' Engage Mutual health cash plan provides 100% cash back on annual costs up to £450 spread across dental, optical and complementary therapies. The deluxe level at £14 per month gives 100% cash back on annual costs spread across the same benefits up to £675, and the superior level at £18 per month gives back up to £900 per year.

The plan also includes personal accident cover and accidental death cover up to £10,000. Dependant children receive their own level of dental and optical cover at no extra cost. Child cover benefit amounts are split between all eligible children. It is not an amount per child.
