Munich Re London (Life Branch) has appointed Andy Batley as CEO of the UK & Irish Life Reinsurance business from 1 January 2015.
Andy Batley will report to Andrew Rear who retains responsibility for the Asian; Australian and African life reinsurance markets together with chairmanship of Munich Re Automation Solutions Ltd and the UK group risk operation Ellipse.
Rear said:"Andy Batley has been one of the driving forces behind the transformation in Munich Re's UK Life performance over the last four years and I am confident that he will continue to be so with this broader remit."
