Dominic Howard of Best Doctors is to attempt to cycle the 234 miles / 377kms from London to Paris in 3 days in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street hospital (GOSH).

He is aiming to raise £25,000 on his trip, which begins on 23 August.

Howard said: "My 15 year old daughter Ella has spent quite a bit of time there. So my wife and I have witnessed at first hand the extraordinary skill, dedication and care of its surgeons, consultants and nurses.

"Great Ormond Street is a world renowned hospital catering to the needs of children from many different countries, often with desperate and complex medical conditions.

"GOSH, of course, constantly depends upon extra funding to support research into new treatments, the most up-to-date equipment and so on."

For those wishing to sponsor his ride, Howard has a Justgiving page
