LV= has added its budget income protection to the products available through Capita's Webline Portal.

Advisers will now be able to compare the budget IP premiums alongside LV='s full income protection, life cover and critical illness plan and its whole of life cover.

Mike Farrell, head of protection sales at LV=, said: "Adding our budget product to the portal will help us to extend our reach within the intermediary market, and give advisers access to a wider range of products when discussing the most appropriate level of cover for their clients."

LV='s budget IP product offers identical cover to the full income protection product, but instead will pay out the benefit on any single claim for up to a maximum of two years rather than up until retirement.
