COVER poll and result

clock • 1 min read

The results to COVER's June poll were pretty decisive, and now we're asking for your views on another of the protection market's pressing issues.

After asking: "With the ABI proposing to re-name Total and Permanent Disability as Irreversible Life-Changing Disability, what do you think of the new title?" almost two-thirds (61%) said they didn't like it and thought it was another level of complexity or that people would not understand it.

However, one-in-five (22%) believe it is an improvement which will help clients understand the concept better.

That left 16% who feel it won't make any difference to themselves or their clients.

This month, COVER wants your opinions on the recent spate of mergers and acquisitions within the protection market's providers, posing the question: "Do you worry that the number of protection providers is going to reduce to a market damaging level, due to reduced competition?"

Submit your answers on the COVER Poll page.
