A new group life brand, Havensrock, insured by Scottish Friendly and distributed by advisers PSHPC, has launched to the market with a proposition recognising that not all industries share the same risk.
Havensrock clusters low-risk, professional services employees together and as a result offers a three-year rate guarantee and preferential pricing.
Through the scheme's Dependant's Benefit, cover is automatically extended to an employee's partner, as well as the employee.
Telephone support and guidance for adults caring for a bereaved child is also provided through Winston's Wish, the UK's leading childhood bereavement charity.
Havensrock said for the first time, group life assurance actually supports the impacted employee financially and emotionally, not just their family.
John Dean, managing director of PSHPC said: "PSHPC are delighted that the insurance market has recognised the need for industry-dedicated solutions. This cost effective Havensrock Professions approach will help more companies extend this employee benefit to support the wider family now, when they really need it."
Other Havensrock products include Havensrock Group Life which introduces the Dependants Benefit and Havensrock Trustees which provides individual, liability-matching life assurance for pension schemes.
