Foresters Friendly Society has donated a total of £59,139.46 to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan was the chosen charity for Foresters' charity appeal, which saw members of the Society raise money through a series of fundraising events.

The money will be used to help fund nurses and specialist healthcare professionals as well as build cancer care centres.

Sally Waterfield, marketing manager at Foresters Friendly Society, said: "Our members have once again raised a phenomenal amount of money over the year to support our chosen charity.

"Macmillan provides vital support, both emotional and financial, to help all those affected by cancer through an exceptionally difficult time."
