LV= has strengthened its corporate legal panel with the appointment of four companies as part of a periodic review.

The firms are Norton Rose, Bond Pearce, Eversheds and Clifford Chance, and will work alongside LV='s in-house legal team to help look after the group's business affairs.

Rachel Small, manager of LV='s internal legal department, commented: "Over the last two years we have strengthened our in-house legal team significantly and now is the right time to streamline the panel to ensure that those we work with are an extension of the skills we have developed within our own team."

Norton Rose is the only appointee that has not previously worked with LV=. It will oversee the company's insurance law, regulatory affairs and support its merges and acquisitions.

Small added: "All four of our legal partners have a good cultural fit with our business and by working with this select few we can ensure we deliver a professional and cost effective service to the LV= business while maintaining a large enough panel to support any major transactions that may arise requiring specialist sector expertise."
