Specialist law firm launches to handle insurance broker legal issues

clock

A City law firm focused on representing the intermediated insurance market has been launched.

EC3 Legal specialise in handling legal issues for brokers, IFAs, Lloyd's agencies, MGAs, and other support providers in the insurance sector.

David Coupe, managing partner and founder of EC3 Legal, said: "l strongly believe there is a real need for a specialist law firm to represent the insurance intermediated market.

"Traditionally, the focus of most law firms is often to act for insurers primarily and to neglect intermediaries, especially if a conflict arises. EC3 Legal aims to correct this imbalance and provide expert advice at rates more affordable to businesses of all sizes trading in this market.

The firm has secured clients in the London market and nationally. When required it will also handle international business through a network of specialist associates.

Coupe is a former partner at Clyde & Co and ince & Co.
