Specialist healthcare provider National Friendly has appointed three new non-executive directors to its board.
The mutual intends the new board members to have strong involvement in the company's major decision making in the future.
They will assist with developing business strategy as well as developing and monitoring the goals for the company - issues that National Friendly feels are key to future growth and development.
The three are: Alan Lewis, a venture capitalist, with City and funding experience behind him.
Tracy Morshead, a businessman with extensive experience of working with mutual societies. In his previous role as managing director of Principality Building Society and divisional director at Nationwide, Morshead was an architect of the Nationwide initiative to establish itself as the leading mutual and so brings with him a range of marketing and business development skills in the financial services industry.
Mark Jackson MD was the CEO and founder of Helphire, the UK market leader in the provision of accident management services.
Chief executive at National Friendly Richard Sear says: "With a vast array of financial services and healthcare experience collectively, we look forward to benefiting from their expertise as we set out and develop our vision of a modern mutual."
