The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) is hosting a World Cup themed ‘speed dating' style event for insurers and advisers.

Each delegate who registers for the event at the AMII website will get to meet each participating insurer for ten minutes before moving on to meet the next one when the bell rings.

Twelve insurers are currently confirmed to take part including AXA PPP healthcare, AXA PPP international, Bupa, Aviva, Simply health, The Permenent Health Company, Westfield Health, Health Shield, CS Healthcare, Engage Mutual, Benenden and Health Assured.

The free event is open to all advisers and takes place at the St. Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Chepstow, Wales on July 4th.

Two World Cup quarter finals take place on the same day, which will be shown live at the event.

AMII General Secretary Michael Payne said: "This is an excellent way for advisers to meet insurers and vice versa. We are expecting more than 150 delegates and as insurers only have ten minutes they need to get to the point.

"They are however free to discuss any relevant topic or product feature they like and as well as the networking part of the event there will also be competitions, prize draws and live music. Delegate partners are also welcome to attend."
