Lifesearch hits third of a million policies sold

Protection IFA LifeSearch has financially protected over 333,000 customers since 1998, unexpectedly split fairly evenly between males and females, with 175,000 men and 158,000 women having taken out advised cover.

Last year the IFA's figures show it sold protection to 40,398 clients - a 55% increase in the number of customers five year before.

In 2011 the split between the sexes was 20,800 males versus 19,589 female.

David Child, managing director at LifeSearch said: "The figures show that there is very little difference between the sexes when it comes to financially Protecting themselves and their dependents."
