The acquisition of Lutine Assurance Services by Cassidy Davis Insurance Group has been confirmed by the group's managing director Neil Deshpande.

The news follows the group's announcement in October 2000 of its plans to buy out the company. Lutine Assurance will continue to operate in its present form, with Cassidy Davis Life Syndicate 779 providing the company's underwriting. Deshpande said: "The Lutine has proven synergy with our life syndicate and has a sound strategic fit with the group as a whole."

Hans Evers, managing director of Lutine Assurance, added: "I am very pleased to have settled our future. Joining the Cassidy Davis Insurance Group offers us a range of new opportunities in terms of the product range we can now offer."
