Electrical Contractors Insurance Services Limited (ECIS)has launched a cash plan for businesses in the construction sector.

The Health Expenses Cash Plan, designed for ECIS and arranged and provided by BUPA, assists with the cost of healthcare and preventative treatment for those working in the construction trade.

Premiums start at just £1 per week for firms with seven employees or more.

Expenses such as physiotherapy, acupuncture and health tests are covered by the Health Expenses Cash Plan along with dental treatment and eye tests.

Policyholders also have access to a 24-hour health helpline. Cover is paid up-front and employees then claim cashback - up to their annual benefit limit - against some of these every day healthcare expenses.

Phil Scarrett, sales and marketing director of ECIS said "By offering a cost-effective healthcare benefit, businesses can offer their tradespeople access to the treatment they need without the worry about cost. It's a benefit that employers recognise has a positive impact on workforce morale and performance. It can also help reduce absence and provide a great tool to attract new people.

"There are no pre-existing exclusions, on the Cash Plan, apart from hospital stays. Employees can make a claim, as soon as the cover is incepted, ensuring there is no waiting period before they can benefit."
