The County Group has acquired Knutsford-based broker Heath Insurance Services, which has a gross premium income of £1.4m.

The Heath Insurance brand will remain as will all four staff - including managing director Brian Clarke - and its premises.

Dave Clapp,  CEO at County Group said: "We are keen to further expand our branch network, reaching out to customers as part of our community broker proposition. Heath Insurance fitted into our strategy perfectly."

Clarke added: "County has an excellent track record in retaining the identity of brokerages, while using its size to provide operational efficiency, help with compliance and attract new business via its marketing department."

County's acquisition of Heath Insurance follows the recent acquisitions of Chester Insurance Services in August and Brady & Jones in October.

After the most recent purchase, County is a £50m premium business with more than 200 employees and 14 branches.
