Product news: Bupa reworks D2C PMI

clock

Bupa has enhanced its direct-to-consumer health insurance product.

Low-cost cancer cover and more flexibility with pricing options are two of the changes made to the Bupa By You.

Policyholders now have options to select an out-patient limit to bring down cost, capping cover at £500, £750 and £1,000 or can choose no limits.

They can also choose NHS Cancer Cover Plus instead of full cancer cover, to reduce premium cost.

It means cancer treatment is provided by the NHS unless provision is not available, in which case Bupa will step in.

Ceri Henfrey, director of consumer Bupa Health Funding, said: "Our customers tell us that cancer cover is very important to them, but they also want more options that can help bring down the cost of cover."
