Aetna has brought Goodhealth Worldwide under its own title.

All Goodhealth's products and services will now be sold as Aetna Global Benefits (AGB).

The move expands US based Aetna's portfolio of international private medical insurance (IPMI) for expats.

The health care benefits specialist purchased international healthcare provider Goodhealth in late 2007, and this transition marks the final step of the process.

AGB's international business segment supports more than 400,000 members worldwide and the organisation is currently expanding its global service capabilities, health solutions offerings and provider network.

Martha Temple, president of Aetna Global Benefits, said: "Now, under the Aetna umbrella, our stakeholders worldwide will benefit from the experience, health care expertise and financial stability of a powerful brand that's been respected for over 150 years."
