The majority of IFAs are keen to make more use of new electronic business services for life and health products, according to recent research conducted by The Exchange.
The research revealed that 65% of IFAs would 'significantly increase' their use of e-products if they were made more readily available and steps were taken to develop product design.
The findings follow a similar pattern to the results of a survey recently conducted by COVER in association with Hannover Life Re. It was found that more than 41% of IFAs believed over half of their business with product providers would be conducted electronically within the next five years.
Steve Ose-Mensah, sales and marketing director at The Exchange, said: "This is an encouraging sign because e-products and the associated benefits can play an important role in redressing the increasing pressure on product margins. Fully online submission of application forms is the next logical step."
