MetLife builds infrastructure ahead of 2013 product plans

MetLife has been building its infrastructure ahead of the launch of a Master Trust for its group life and group income protection.

The American insurer has been investing in its employee benefits business to get it ready for expansion and has other product and growth plans in the pipeline to role out next year.

Andy Stephenson, newly-appointed national sales manager for MetLife's employee benefits business, said the group risk division was set for ambitious plans in the UK.

Tom Gaynor, sales director of employee benefits, MetLife UK, said: "We have exciting plans to grow our business substantially in the UK and we will are enabling our sales team to move to another level."

Next year's plans will be backed by investment from MetLife's global employee benefits business.
