AXA PPP healthcare has introduced a new modular offering, Personal Health, for individuals looking to secure private medical insurance.

Under the policy, every new-born will be automatically covered for free until the member's next policy renewal date.

Personal Health comes with a 80% maximum no claims discount, a range of excess levels and offers a ‘six week' option (whereby members are treated privately if the NHS cannot treat them within six weeks of when treatment should take place).

Children aged fourteen and under will be covered for speech therapy needed for developmental reasons, laser treatment to improve the appearance of facial port wine stain birthmarks and surgery to correct ‘bat ears'.

Available to new business (superseding Health Select), heart and cancer care form an intergral part of Personal Health with access to the latest in proven treatment, drugs, support and care.

AXA PPP's Personal Health also features a range of options, including:

• Choice of Out-patient Options, offering unlimited or up to three specialist consultations a year
• Therapies Option - for out-patient treatment by physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors
• Mental Health Option - for psychiatric treatment
• Dentist and Optician Cashback Option
• Extended Cover Option - with new benefits such as up to £500 per year for private GP consultations
• European or Worldwide Travel Cover Options.

The policy offers telephone access to information and guidance from AXA PPP's team of nurses, pharmacists, midwives and counsellors

Paul Moulton, intermediary distribution director at AXA PPP, said:"I am confident that, with its strong core of cover, expert support from our team of health professionals and compelling cost reduction measures, Personal Health will appeal to intermediaries and their clients alike."

At the same time, AXA PPP's sister company Health-on-Line has introduced Health For You.

This is available to new individual business, and superseding Priority Health, Health for You offers flexibility and choice with new benefits and options.
