Lifesearch is raising awareness of the perception gap between the number of protection claims people believe are paid; compared to the actual number of claims that are paid out.
The firm has produced a chart (see below), which they will be promoting on social media.
It revealed the public believes just 38% of life, income protection and critical illness claims are paid out each year. In reality, over 90% of claims are paid out across the three types of insurance.
