Allianz launches family cover through rewards and benefits provider

A UK-based reward and benefits provider will now offer Allianz Global Assistance's Family Homecare plan products.

Family Homecare provides cover for employees if they experience an accident or sudden illness. Partners and parents can also be added to the cover.

James Hall, head of healthcare and risk at Vebnet Services, said: "We monitor employee benefit trends to ensure we design offerings which fit employees' needs and lifestyles. While there are many health related benefits available that provide cover for employees and immediate family members, very few employers offer employees the option to provide support and care for their parents."

Phil Carr, head of business development for Allianz Global Assistance in the UK, said it had been "an exciting challenge" to build the product.

"We have worked closely with Vebnet and we look forward to developing more exciting new products in the future," he added.

The product will be available from 1 October 2012.
