Abbey for Intermediaries has developed a free online coaching session for advisers looking to prepare themselves ahead of forthcoming Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulation.

Focusing on the key differences between non-regulated and regulated protection sales and the role of the Financial Ombudsman Service, the course looks at the 11 principles of business and includes a self-assessment test, which allows intermediaries to obtain further continuing professional development points.

Sue Wilkinson, head of Life and Health Propositions at Abbey for Intermediaries, said: "Regulation will have such a significant impact on how intermediaries do business that we see it as a central part of our role to support intermediaries as much as we can."

Intermediaries can access the course by logging onto www .abbeyforintermediaries.com
