Protection Review shedules independent training

The Protection Review and the Personal Finance Society (PFS) will soon be announcing the first dates for independent protection training for advisers.

The pair are aiming to announce two initial dates, to be hosted by Swiss Re at its iconic City headquarters, in September and October.

Training material for the course is currently under review by a panel of specialist protection advisers, who will be attending the sessions along with an independent underwriter.

The Protection Review said if there was a enough strong demand these sessions would be scheduled at different venues around the country.

It added that it was "more than happy" to run sessions in association with individual organisations.

Kevin Carr, CEO of the Protection Review, commented: "We've also already run a few in-house sessions with individual distributor firms (at their request) and the feedback has been really good. With more advisers looking towards protection post RDR the timing in many ways couldn't be better.
