PruProtect has announced a discount on all its Vitality Optimiser products for new customers, for the life of the policy.
The 5% discount applies to Life Cover, Serious Illness Cover, Income Protection and Relevant Life Policy customers. As part of the offer a free health check with RoadtoHealth is included which measures BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose checks. The offer runs from 8 September to 7 November 2014.
Vitality Optimiser, launched a year ago, is designed to encourage healthy living by policy holders with a range of incentives and offers, including discounts on gym membership and cashback.
PruProtect marketing & distribution director Justin Taurog said, "Vitality Optimiser has been a huge success since we launched it a year ago and it now contributes more than 40% of our new business volume.
"Despite the initial discount offered, average premiums for this product are higher than non-Vitality Optimiser new business as customers have purchased a richer benefit mix, resulting in better outcomes for both the client and adviser. We want to continue to drive engagement with Vitality among our clients as well as providing a much needed "back to school" boost to the sector."
