Aviva has introduced a new app allowing customers of its International Solutions PMI to access medical records, emergency assistance and advice as well as details of how to claim.
The app has been developed by Aviva with Medelinked, who previously worked with Aviva on their My Health Passport online record system which launched in 2012 and with which the app is linked. The app is available to all and customers of other Aviva brands will receive a discount on the purchase price.
The International Solutions app will allow swift and secure access to the medical history worldwide and the ability to provide them to medical staff abroad. As well as information such as allergies, medications, tests, immunisations and tests, it also stores scans and x-rays.
There is an emergency records area which allows chosen persons to access key information during a medical emergency. What information is stored in this area is chosen by the customer and it is password protected.
The app allows customers to phone Aviva's 24 hour emergency assistance and medical advice service and information about International Solutions cover, including a step-by-step claim guide.

In the event of illness or injury abroad, the app will give customers peace of mind that all their vital health information is recorded and quickly accessible."
