ALC Health, the international private medical insurance (IPMI) provider, has boosted benefits within its wellbeing, routine management of chronic conditions and routine pregnancy and childbirth product range.

For in-patient and day-patient treatment, under the Prima Premier plan, routine management of chronic conditions has been increased to £20,000 from £15,000.

Under outpatient treatment, Prima Premier's management of chronic conditions has increased to £5,000 from £2,000.

Prima Platinum's wellbeing benefit increased to £1,000 from £750 while a wellbeing benefit of £250 was introduced under both the Prima Classic and Prima Ibérica plans.

ALC has also introduced a further optional benefit of £20,000 for routine pregnancy and childbirth under the Prima Platinum plan.

Andrew Apps, director of ALC Health said: "We have listened to our customer needs and are pleased to be able to offer these new and improved benefits to our Prima range. IPMI intermediaries across the world are looking for value added products that will fill the gap around many traditional expatriate plans and I believe our improved benefits are very competitive.

"At ALC we have also seen the need to add a further level of cover to the routine pregnancy and childbirth option to our Platinum plan. The high demand for beds in maternity wards in some countries has meant that hospitals are continually increasing their charges. This is why we have added an additional level of cover to our wide choice of options."

The new benefits under the Prima range will be available from 1st June 2014.
