Friends Life will be raising awareness of how businesses support employees who have cancer at a conference attended by NHS staff.
The conference, which is organised by The Christie School of Oncology and held at The Lowry in Salford Quays, will be attended by NHS clinicians, commissioners and managers and those involved in primary and community based services.
Friends Life will demonstrate how businesses are now recognising the number of people who are surviving cancer and want to return to work.
The firm said it will raise awareness of financial protection products like group income protection and critical illness polices, as well as the Cancer Work Support programme.
David Williams, director of group protection at Friends Life, said: "At Friends Life we know the importance of giving health care professionals information on the financial support that may be available to their patients. On top of dealing with a serious illness, money worries can cause major stress to someone recovering from cancer."
The Changing Prospects for Cancer conference is on 4th April.
