Networking opportunity for PMI delegates
The Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries (AMII) has announced the final programme for its 2009 Conference on 17 June.
The body said the theme is to be 'Promoting Professionalism' and the programme will include two keynote speakers: Steve Jenkins, business development director for the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Jim Lawless.
AMII said that Jenkins will be 'touching on' the work that AMII has done with CII in developing a specific private medical insurance (PMI) qualification. A panel debate hosted by Andy Couchman, co-chair of the Protection Review, will discuss what professionalism means for the PMI intermediary.
The other sessions will include:
- 'Tackling the ticking time bomb (an examination of musculoskeletal conditions)'.
- 'Is work really good for my health?'.
- 'Introduction to PMI, learn more about opportunities in the market'.
- 'Cardiac Disease & Stroke, an Introduction'.
- 'FlexAbility, realising the potential'.
- 'How, in the present economic climate, can Intermediaries provide support to clients and identify solutions for employees' health and wellbeing'.
- 'Reap The Rewards From International PMI'.
Mike Izzard, chairman of AMII said: "This packed programme coupled with our exhibition hall, where delegates can find out more about market and product developments and have the opportunity to network with industry colleagues, is a must for anyone interested in PMI."
