Standard Life Healthcare (SLH) has cut the minimum number of members required for groups to be eligible for its low claims frequency (LCF) rating option.
The provider has reduced the minimum member criteria from 10 to six, meaning that more customers will be able to take advantage of discounted premiums and LCF terms that offer renewal terms based on the number of claims made, relative to the number of members in a scheme rather than the actual amount claimed.
The LCF rating option is available on SLH's Company Primecare Plus and Company Primecare plans. Starting bands for new customers are now 15% cheaper than standard SLH moratorium rates and those switching to the scheme can get premiums 10% cheaper than the provider's standard switch rates.
Iain McMillan, national sales manager of intermediary sales at SLH, said: 'LCF offers flexible pricing which enables us to recognise good risks and reward groups who are not claiming.'
