PPP lifetime care is revamping its website in a bid to boost its business through IFAs.

The group is also looking to provide a one-stop shop for the latest information on long term care through the website.

The site, www.lifetimecare.co.uk, was initially launched in 1997 when it was billed as "the UK long term care website sponsored by PPP healthcare".

Despite being designed to provide visitors with "up-to-date information on all aspects of long term care, PPP and its products", only one page of the site was dedicated to intermediaries.

However, new sections have been created including 'IFA Services', a password-protected IFA-only area that allows intermediaries to do online illustrations, view products, access the COVER A-Z of long term care and order related literature.

Paul Bennett, long term care marketing manager for PPP lifetime care, said: "Long term care is an area that more IFAs will advise on. As specialists in this field we felt there was a need to share our knowledge and experience in the most accessible and uncomplicated way.

"The site now offers the comprehensive information needed to advise clients on long term care insurance and the contents are designed to suit different levels of IFA knowledge and experience."

To use the online illustration facility, IFAs simply enter their client's age, gender and the required benefit level. The site then displays an illustration of the likely premiums.

Bennett said: "The site gives IFAs real flexibility by allowing them to change the benefit values or input further details, such as the level of cover required, to see how this affects the illustration. Printed copies of the chosen illustrations can then be ordered.

"By using the internet as our vehicle, we can provide a wide range of information on political and social issues as well as a detailed guide to our products and pricing. Our website now puts IFAs in a strong position to offer best advice to their clients with up-to-date information."
