Cirencester Friendly has bolstered its customer care team with the appointment of Harry Ireland as senior customer care assistant.

Ireland joins the society from Ageas where he was a team manager and has also held roles at Allianz and Royal Bank of Scotland.

He will manage day to day operations in the customer care team as they support both advisers and Members, handling queries regarding the society's income protection contracts - Income Assured Plus and My Earnings Insurance.

Paul Hudson, chief executive of Cirencester Friendly said: "We are a small team at Cirencester Friendly and as a mutual we are committed to delivering a high standard of service to our Members and the advisers who introduce business to the society.

"Harry is joining at an exciting time as we look to further develop our product range and we are pleased that he will be playing his part as we build upon recent success."
