Cirencester Friendly appoints two non-executive directors

Cirencester Friendly has appointed Mark Sedgley and Ian Maude as non-executive directors.

Sedgley has worked primarily in mutuals in the financial services sector for almost 30 years and has previously held technical expert positions and been chief executive of a friendly society.

Maude's 40 year career has included considerable time as a board executive and seinor financial and IT positions including Finance and IT director for both Zurich Insurance and LV=.

Paul Hudson, CEO of Cirencester Friendly, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Mark and Ian to the Board of Cirencester Friendly.

"Their wide-ranging and comprehensive experience in financial services will be a major asset to our business.

"We continue to strengthen our Board for future challenges and these new additions to the team build upon another successful year for Cirencester Friendly."

Sedgley said:"I am delighted to be joining an award winning and professional mutual. I hope to be able to play a part in the future success of the Society and to help ensure our Members continue to receive first class products and service."

Maude said: "I am extremely pleased to be joining the Board of the Cirencester Friendly. I hope that my experience and knowledge of the insurance sector will allow me to make a valuable contribution.

"I look forward to working with the Board to enhance the discussions when devising policies and plans to ensure that we continue putting the needs of our Members the heart of everything we do."
