Partner Insight: How value-add services can help customers beyond their financial goals

It's never been more important to find the right cover for your clients. And understanding what extra support you can offer them for life's everyday unexpected turns can make all the difference.

While we're always there for your clients if the worst happens, many don't know we're there for all the other challenges too. For some, being able to call on this help has been life changing.

There for your clients through it all

Umbrella Benefits offers your clients protection for the everyday with our range of five value-added services and optional benefits. Some are included as standard; others can be added for a small monthly fee - but all are there to help with the unexpected. Get to know what this extra support looks like for your clients.

Included as standard

Wellbeing Support
Wellbeing Support provided by RedArc Assured Limited gives clients access to practical and emotional help from a registered RedArc nurse. Your client and their family can use it from day one of their policy, like Tom, whose Income Protection policy meant he could get help with his stress, anxiety and panic attacks. He was offered counselling sessions and had five calls with his dedicated nurse.

Care Concierge
Clients and their immediate family can speak to our care experts about finding and funding later life care. Jacqui got help with her dad's care options after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Her care expert got in touch with dementia-specialist care homes for availability, price and suitability, saving Jacqui hours of research and stress.

Rehabilitation Support Service
Clients can rehabilitate from an illness or injury that's keeping them off work, including cancer, mental health or heart conditions. Included with Income Protection policies, your client can access clinical professionals once they've made a valid claim. It's what Amy did when she couldn't go back to work because of pain after cancer treatment. The rehabilitation team suggested she talk to her GP to discuss pain relief. The team gave advice and monitored her progress until she was able to go back to work.

Added value for an additional cost

Fracture Cover
When Mary slipped and broke her arm, she got a £2,000 pay out through Fracture Cover. It's easy for accidents to happen, and being out of action can have financial costs. Fracture Cover gives your clients peace of mind for those extras like travel or childcare for an additional £5.90 a month, and covers multiple claims up to £4,000.

Private Diagnostics
When your clients want answers quickly, Private Diagnostics can help. Like for Ellie, who went to her GP about her fainting episodes. She didn't want to wait for a cardiology referral so used Private Diagnostics for fast results. She had a virtual consultation and an ECG, MRI and echocardiogram. She got the fast reassurance she was looking for, for just £4.50 a month.

Fracture Cover and Private Diagnostics are insured by AXIS Specialty London. The support and services are provided by Trustedoctor, a sister company of Further Underwriting International SLU.
All of the examples are based on real people, but their names and some parts of their story have been changed to protect their identity.
Care Concierge is available to all Annuity, Later Life Mortgage and Group Protection customers.
Care Concierge is only available to Retail Protection customers who have had a protection policy since 20th of July 2023
