Member benefits app use exceeds 2022 total: The Exeter

Largely attributed to health insurance members

Usage of The Exeter’s member benefits app Healthwise has this year exceeded the full year total for 2022, driven by remote GP services for reasons including children’s health conditions, skin complaints and digestive disorders.

An increasing number of members have also accessed the Healthwise platform for mental health support and physiotherapy sessions this year, which The Exeter detailed is "significantly" higher than 2022. Specifically, usage of the HealthWise service in July 2023 was almost three times higher than July 2022. Increased usage is split evenly between genders, although the insurer noted it can be largely attributed to its health insurance members which made up 72% of all users this year, compared to those who hold other forms of cover.
