April UK upgrades broker portal

Brokers can now offer an instant personalised quote for April UK's Private Medical Insurance Plan through a system upgrade to be rolled out across the UK from 2 December.

The provider has enhanced its broker portal allowing brokers to obtain live quotes and produce a personalised quote document which can be saved and used during their sales process.

Marketing manager Isaac Lam said: "It's about making it easier for intermediaries to transact business with us.

"We have always offered an online application system which had received positive feedback from many users. But this is the missing part of the jigsaw - being able to obtain live customer quotes online, rather than using a rate card. Not only will it save time but it also cuts down on human error.

"From a disclosure point of view, it will help advisors make it clear to their customers what benefits and underwriting they will receive before a sale, so any errors or misunderstanding can be picked up at an earlier stage."
