International insurance provider William Russell has released a redefined Global Health plan range for 2013, focussing on wellbeing.

Global Health Elite plan premiums will undergo increases for the New Year, with the Bronze, Silver and Gold plans rising by 7%, 7.5% and 9% respectively.

From January 2013, the provider will focus on wellbeing by offering Gold and Silver plan clients a Preventative Health Benefit, with which to undergo health checks or vaccinations of their choosing.

In addition, Gold Plan clients will also be able to claim an annual optical check within their wellbeing limit.

William Russell has streamlined its Elite product offering for 2013, withdrawing the Platinum plan and incorporating extra benefits to the remaining Gold, Silver and Bronze plans.

Maternity cover on the Gold and Silver plans has been improved, with increased limits for newborn cover and childbirth necessitating an emergency procedure.

The provider has also introduced some new benefits, including an HRT benefit, as well as optional dental benefits for all Gold and Silver policyholders, following the recent successful introduction of dental options for corporate clients.

The firm's Essential plans have also been enhanced, with an improved benefit limit for the maintenance of chronic conditions, and lengthened cover for follow-up monitoring consultations upon the completion of cancer treatment.

Furthermore, for the first time, Essential plan clients will be eligible to stay in a private room when they are admitted to hospital.

James Cooper, sales director at William Russell, said: "We are constantly looking at new ways to improve our product offering, and we are confident that our clients will appreciate these wide-ranging benefit enhancements."
