LV= has launched an online calculator for advisers to work out potential commission loss in the run up to G-Day.
The tool is live today on the insurer's gender website.
Mark Jones, head of protection at LV=, said: "Switching to gender neutral rates will result in a change of premium and, for many clients, an unwelcome increase. For the adviser there could be a real risk of losing the business if this happens, and therefore their commission."
Advisers can work out the risk to income using the tool and aims to support them in getting business through the books.
