The protection industry has bred a culture of competitor obsession, which has been driven by processes that have been put in place, according to Stephanie Hydon, director of client distribution at iPipeline.

Speaking during a panel discussion on 'The Great Technology Myth' at the Protection Review 2023 Conference today (6 December), Hydon noted the industry's focus has been on price as "we think we're doing the right thing for the customer", and that is where all the development and support has gone. "The consequence of that is we have created a culture of being competitor obsessed and not customer obsessed," she told delegates.
