Only half of businesses offer mental health support: Towergate

Support varies depending on industry

Research has found that just over half (54%) of businesses offer mental health and wellbeing support to their workforce.

According to Towergate Health & Protection, this support varies depending on company size; 70% large corporates provided metal health and wellbeing support compared to 49% of small-and-medium-sized businesses and 37% for micro companies. Support also differed depending on industry, with firms in the construction industry the least likely (43%) to provide mental health support. Meanwhile, those working in the healthcare sector were the most likely (80%) to be offered this support.
