One third of employers won't offer fertility support

Employers need to offer fertility support in order to attract and retain staff who may be looking to have children in their future, according to healthcare platform, Peppy.

Workplace fertility support can cover areas such as IVF, family planning and adoption through to conditions such as endometriosis that can affect fertility. Research by Peppy conducted among 504 HR decision makers found that despite the benefits to the workforce, 31% of surveyed employers have no plans to offer fertility support to staff. However, the research found that 39% of surveyed respondents have either offered employee benefits to support staff with their reproductive health or have put them in place in the past 12 months.
