This figure rises to a quarter of respondents aged 18 to 39, research reveals

An estimated 6.2 million UK employees - one in five (19%) - have gone to work while suffering from a mental illness, a figure highest amongst those aged under 40, a study by Canada Life Group Insurance has found. According to the study, 24% of those aged 18 to 39 said they had come into work while mentally unwell, 20% of 40-to-59-year-olds admitted they had and only 6% of those over 60 believe they have done so.
