Firm's market share increased to 11.2% during Q1 2018

Royal London increased its UK intermediary protection sales to £383m (up 14%) during the first six months of the year. The growth was driven by "increased adviser propositions as a result of improved confidence in its proposition as a result of improved business processes, strong and effective underwriting and a commitment to innovation", the insurer said. The firm's market share increased to 11.2% during Q1 2018 (11.1% in December 2017) and in January 2018 Royal London introduced enhanced children's critical illness cover and launched diabetes life cover in June 2018.
